You should be able to talk about shopping - either easy way about yourself, or yourself and your friends or family, or a bit higher level, in general, what people do, like, hate, etc. Buying and selling, prices, hobby or neccessity, and similar, basically anything that comes in your mind and is related to shopping.
Mind the difference in the following:
shop for something (for food, for clothes, ...)
go shopping / go to the shops,
do the shopping,
buy stomething, ...
